Galen D. Bernadt, PMHNP-BC

Galen earned his degree from Bryan College of Health Sciences and became an RN in 2004. He began his career with Bryan Medical Center mental health services as part of the Adult Psychiatry team. From there he went to work with the Lancaster County Mental Health Crisis Center and eventually transitioned to the outpatient clinic of the Community Mental Health Center. In 2012, he returned to Bryan Medical Center and took a position with E.D. Connections, a program designed to help connect individuals to health care and mental health care resources in lieu of having to use the emergency department as their only access point to care. He assumed this program's manager role in 2013. 

In 2024 Galen received his masters degree in nursing, specializing as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner. He achieved Board Certification and became licensed in the state of Nebraska.

Out of a desire to serve the rural communities in Southeast Nebraska where he grew up, Galen founded Broadway Behavioral Health in 2024 to provide dedicated, local behavioral and mental health services to the many small towns of this area.

In his spare time, Galen enjoys spending time with his family and friends, listening to music, watching sports, and taking in the great outdoors!
